RoboCop review

The 1987 film RoboCop is violent, rude, and cheesy. Peter Weller plays the main role. A gang of criminals kills and introduces Weller. One of the main characters suffers from toxic waste, and then he dies after being struck by a truck and causes it to explode. But this isn’t random violent; it has to do both with the storyline and the main idea. In RoboCop, the story takes place in a future Detroit where crime is out of hand and the police can't bring order back. A big company "partners" with the police and uses the crisis to make (now updated) and sell new military gear, like combat robots that are meant to replace beat cops. The company will clean up and make money to make it possible for the construction of a new high-end area in the city.
